my weekend

Friday: Got out of school and then went to a middle school dance that I was helping to chaperone. Seth was expecting to break up couples having sex on the dance floor, thinking it would be a mad, clothed orgy. I, however, thought it would be .. a middle school dance. I won. It was a huge group of girls screaming in excitement at the start of every song, freak dancing together, just praying that a boy would notice them and ask them to dance. The boys, stood against the wall watching. And some of them ran around. And some of them did one and a half pull-ups on the bars that ran around the gym. I was really shocked to find that everyone knew the Macarena. All of these kids were born after that six month phad. How did they know all the moves? My guess: I <3 the 90’s.

Saturday: Seth and I ran Boneshakers Cyclery, the bike shop that my dear Boehms own. Just hung out playing GTA and occasionally saying “Hi, how’s it going?” to Texan tourists.

Sunday: Cleaned. Met up with Josh Crawford (or “Bob Dylan Josh”), who was in town for a couple of hours. We met at a really gross, sports bar. Seth and I went up to the counter to buy drinks and this motorcycling, long-pony-tailed, barstool-man said “I feel like it’s later than it actually is,” and then saw me and said “My oh my, why am I talkin like that in the presence of such a pretty lady?” Like what? I wondered. “I wouldn’t have been so rude, talkin such shit, if I knew you were standin right there.” Yes, please don’t talk about the time of day in front of me. It’s so vulgar.
