Lara, so I read the bit about the likely bidding for Keira Knightly as Zombie Elizabeth Bennet. Whatchu think gurl?
Well I can guess what you think, but wonder if you agree with me completely on the following statement: First of all, we both know she’s already proven she can’t play Elizabeth Bennet — her attempt of feeling contempt for Darcy comes off as an oh-so-sublte, “do me now!” However, if she hadn’t played said part in the past (badly) I wouldn’t actually be all that upset if she played in this version. I can see it. So now I’m torn.
Just for absolute fun (because there is such fun to be had), I’ll do my own casting. And yes, I’ll try to hold back from regurgitating the cast of Harry Potter, but here goes nothing:
Lizzy: Maggie G., preferably speaking in french— like in paris j’taime.
Jane: Clémence Poésy
Mr. Bennet: Tie between Ricky Gervais and Eddie Izzard. Not Michael Cain.
Mrs. Bennet: Emma Thompson (because I have to cast her no matter what, plus I honestly think she could do it)
Darcy: Collin Farrell. I mean, Colin Firth! Hang on a minute… I mean, I don’t really care.
Bingley: Djimon Hounsou
Lydia: Emma Watson, with a wig
Kitty: Hannah Murray
Whickam: Nicholas Hoult or something, though he’s a bit young. Definitely not Robert Pattinson. Eff ‘em.
Sanderson: Daniel Radcliffe. “I d-do indeed… most passionately”
Georgiana Darcy: Emma Watson, without a wig.
Lady Catherine de Berg: Judi Dench .. or Eddie Izzard.
