The Rejects (See below, as this is part 2)

Oh and you may have noticed there were three very talked about films from this year left off my list. You may think “She must not have seen those” but you are wrong. The three following films were left off of my list for a reason:

1. Tropic Thunder: Not very funny. Not very shocking. I hate the term “retard” and it was thrown about like there is no tomorrow in this film.

2. Iron Man: Now I am all about the comeback of Robert Downing Jr. Judging by this list, you might think otherwise, but I like the guy. However, I did not like this movie either. The entertainment and quality level on par with the Spiderman movies (excluding the third one, of course) but I hated the blatant pro-America, anti-Middle East messages of the film. Now I don’t know if this part’s supposed to be ironic, but I don’t think it is: “They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That’s how Dad did it, that’s how America does it… and it’s worked out pretty well so far. I present to you the newest in Stark Industries’ Freedom line. Find an excuse to let one of these off the chain, and I personally guarantee, the bad guys won’t even wanna come out of their caves.”

3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button:This movie was written in 1994 or so but no one wanted to make it because Forrest Gump was still too fresh in everyone’s heads. “Maybe if we make it ten years later everyone will forget” the big shot Hollywood producer men may have said. But they were wrong. This movie is almost a replica of Forrest Gump except… it wasn’t good. No one in it was remotely interesting! I felt like every character was a bastard and they all did crappy Louisiana accents. Sitting through it felt to me like sitting through a really awful play. From Queenie’s first entrance, when she comes out on the porch, fanning herself and says “The air is sweet,” I cracked up. It was so silly. And what’s even more silly: that it’s been nominated for BEST PICTURE.

Okay. Rant over.
