I like having a hotel. I do indeed. A beautiful location, I am a host of distant travelers.

Last week I took in a frozen girl with pretty blue eyes. She escaped Vermont and came for a week. Had our fill of food, walks on beaches, and I sent her home with sunkissed shoulders.

I now have a childhood friend that is “coming home” [from our other home in Brasil] in as much of the sense that she and I will ever be able to return to a homeland. Tem saudade.

Then very soon after I’ll have my Seattle homeboy, planning on longboarding, perhaps surfing, and watching world cup prelims with european beer.
